This image is from the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago. There is something eerie and fascinating about the long, dark halls filled with thousands of mounted animals and skeletons in huge, lovely old glass cases. I have long been drawn to the mysterious juxtapositions of light and reflection, breathless stillness and the semblance of life.
